What are the Global Goals?
The Global Goals (Goals for 2030), or the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are plans to create a better world. The United Nations made these goals in 2015. They want to end poverty and hunger, protect our planet, and ensure everyone lives well. There are 17 Goals in total, and they all work together.
A Bit of History
Before the Global Goals (Goals for 2030), there were the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The MDGs helped make progress in fighting poverty. The Global Goals are more significant than that. They look at the whole picture, including how people, the planet, and the economy are connected.
