Voltra volunteers helping to construct toilets in Jelkinie
VolTra is a voluntary non-governmental organization, registered as a charitable institution in Hong Kong. VolTra is dedicated to promoting international voluntary services in Hong Kong through a well-established worldwide network of international workcamp organizations. VolTra is an official member of CCIVS, which stands for Co-ordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service.
Volunteers Initiative Nepal received a group of 19 Voltra volunteers to help with construction in Jelkinie.
Okharpauwa 1: Construction of toilet in okharpauwa 1 jelkinie community was initiated two years ago and has been continuing with the help from VIN. It has been a major program that has been launched with the help of okharpauwa, jelkinie community. Although the program has been launched years ago with the positive change and still the program is been running with the help from VIN and international volunteers across the Globe.We have seen drastic change in the developmental project which has been conducted as so far. We have also seen change in behavior towards the toilet construction, sanitation and many other health related strategies in that community.

Jelkinie lies west to the Kathmandu valley . It is a remote area where people are illiterate and unaware about the public health and sanitations. As the picture the community people and with the local volunteer has been distribute non local material and toilet under construction. Project staff and local volunteers are doing a lots of help for the construction of toilet in the local community. There is a hope for the people that VIN could help the jelkinie community for the construction programs and other public health related issues. And VIN has doing a lot for the development of the okharpauwa community relating to any programs that has come up with. We have succeed in many programs that has been conducted with the help of the local peoples.
