VIN received work camp volunteers
On 20th of November 2016, Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) received 4 volunteers for the work camp and also conducted induction for them. This is the 2nd work camp induction of VIN for the month of November. The induction program started with the introduction of the volunteers and staffs of VIN. Later, in the second session, the volunteers were introduced about VIN and that included introduction to VIN’s mission, vision and objectives of the organization along with some other basic details about Nepal.
The volunteers were provided with cultural tips and placement information was given to the volunteers in the third session. Besides, they were also informed about the common courtesies, attires and other dos and don’ts which they needed to know while working in their respective project.
The fourth session was conducted after the lunch. In that session, some basic health tips for the volunteers were given. Those tips were important to them during their stay in the country. They were also oriented about their program i.e. total sanitation project.
The final session was regarding the Nepali language class. This class is provided to the volunteers in order to help them with basic Nepali language. It is another important thing for the volunteers as they stay in the community and Nepali is used most of the times in the community. The volunteers were also provided with the lunch boxes and a t-shirt of VIN. Finally around 3:30 pm, they were left for their host family.
