How to Get Involved ?

VIN is truly committed to working towards its vision to empower disadvantaged people in Nepal's most marginalized communities.

VIN has been currently implementing holistic approach in Jitpur Phedi Kathmandu and is extending its projects in Okhaldhunga, and also expand and reach out to help other rural communities find sustainable and practical solutions to their developmental issues.

This, however, can only be achieved through the continued generosity of volunteers offering their time and experience; from donations either monetary or in resources and from the much needed sponsorship of some of the most disadvantaged and destitute children.

1. Volunteer

Are you looking for a travelling adventure, a challenge and a meaningful experience to enrich your life and the lives of those in some of the poorest and most disadvantaged communities in the world? Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) can offer you exactly that kind of experience whether you come from abroad or from Nepal itself. Your small contribution can make a big difference to the development of entire communities.

Volunteer with VIN and be part of disadvantaged communities!

2. Donate
Please consider contributing to VIN. VIN has no regular funding coming from any other organizations. We are just operated on volunteering basis and we fund our staffs and projects through international volunteers. Your financial contribution will support our mission to operate our programs in Nepal in partnership with sustainable community initiatives, bringing people together to work side-by-side while sharing perspectives, and fostering cultural understanding.   Choose one of the following funds:

3. Sponsor a Child
VIN aims to sponsor over 200 children from the most marginalized community, orphanage homes and conflict victims. VIN oversees the full sponsorship (US$230 per year) or partial sponsorship (US$50 per year) of many of the most disadvantaged children, including orphans, conflict victims, and children from extremely poor backgrounds or lower castes.   Children most in need of sponsorship are identified in conjunction with Head Teachers; Village Development Committees / Ward Chairpersons and a Community representative.    Sponsors can either allow VIN to select a child most urgently in need of sponsorship or choose a child to sponsor from one of the following three groups most in need of sponsorship
